Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how TurbaneStats collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the website and its YouTube analytics features.

1. About TurbaneStats

TurbaneStats is an independent analytics service created by TurbaneMC. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google.

TurbaneStats uses YouTube API Services to retrieve public YouTube channel and video information. Use of YouTube-related features is also subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. You can learn how Google handles information in the Google Privacy Policy.

2. Information we retrieve from YouTube

Depending on the page or feature you use, TurbaneStats may retrieve public information such as:

  • channel IDs, channel names, handles, descriptions and thumbnails;
  • public subscriber counts, total view counts and public video counts;
  • video IDs, titles, descriptions, thumbnails, publication dates and durations;
  • public video statistics such as views, likes and comment counts;
  • public livestream information where available through the YouTube API.

TurbaneStats does not ask for or store your YouTube password. The current public analytics features use public YouTube API data rather than access to a viewer's private watch history.

3. Historical analytics and generated information

For channels and videos selected for tracking, TurbaneStats records timestamped snapshots of public statistics so that changes over time can be displayed.

Historical graphs, growth calculations, milestone estimates, forecasts and other information labelled as generated by TurbaneStats are produced by TurbaneStats from tracked data. They are not official YouTube metrics or guarantees.

Storage and use of YouTube API data is subject to the YouTube API Services Terms, Developer Policies, and any permissions granted to TurbaneStats through YouTube's API compliance/audit process. Data may be refreshed, limited or deleted when required by those policies.

4. Account information

If you create a TurbaneStats account, the service may store:

  • the username and email address you provide;
  • a securely hashed version of your password, not the plain-text password;
  • account creation and login timestamps;
  • channels or videos you save to a watchlist;
  • saved comparisons and other account preferences.

This information is used to provide account features, security and saved preferences.

5. Channel verification requests

If you ask to verify ownership of a channel, you may choose to upload screenshots from YouTube Studio and provide notes. These files are treated as private verification material and are used by the site administrator to review the request.

Do not include unnecessary personal information in verification screenshots. Verification material is not intended to be displayed publicly.

6. Cookies and sessions

TurbaneStats uses essential session technology so that signed-in users and administrators can remain authenticated while using the site. These sessions are used for core functionality and security.

TurbaneStats does not currently describe advertising or cross-site tracking cookies as part of the service. If the site's use of cookies or analytics changes, this policy will be updated.

7. How information is used

Information described in this policy is used to:

  • display public channel and video analytics;
  • build historical graphs and permitted statistical features;
  • operate comparisons, milestones, projections and tracking features;
  • provide accounts, watchlists and saved comparisons;
  • review channel verification requests;
  • maintain the security, reliability and operation of the service;
  • comply with YouTube API Services policies and applicable law.

8. Sharing of information

TurbaneStats does not sell personal information. Public YouTube data may be displayed as part of the public analytics pages. Private account information and verification proof are not intended to be made public.

Information may be processed by infrastructure providers needed to operate the service, or disclosed where required by law, security needs, or applicable platform/API rules.

9. Data retention and deletion

Public statistical snapshots are retained only as permitted by applicable YouTube API policies and any approval granted to this analytics use case. Account and verification information is retained for as long as reasonably needed to provide the relevant feature, maintain security, or meet legal obligations.

You may request deletion of personal information connected to your TurbaneStats account or a verification request. Valid deletion requests will be acted on within 30 days, subject to information that must be retained for legal or security reasons.

10. Your choices

You can ask to:

  • access or correct personal account information;
  • delete your account-related personal information;
  • delete verification screenshots or other personal material you submitted;
  • ask a privacy question about TurbaneStats.

11. Security

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect stored data. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so users should avoid submitting unnecessary sensitive information.

12. Children and young users

TurbaneStats is a general analytics service and is not designed to collect unnecessary personal information from children. Users should only provide information they are legally permitted to provide and should avoid placing sensitive personal information in verification uploads.

13. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when TurbaneStats changes its features, data practices, infrastructure or legal/API obligations. The date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are made.
